Tigo Energy Boosts Solar and Storage Incentives for Customers Across Mid-Atlantic Region

LOS GATOS, Calif., July 30, 2026Tigo Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: TYGO) (“Tigo” or “Company”), a leading provider of intelligent solar and energy software solutions, today announced expanded eligibility for its Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program-eligible products across the Mid-Atlantic region, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. This expansion enables more homeowners with Tigo residential solar and energy storage systems to participate in utility-driven programs designed to strengthen grid reliability while creating new opportunities to earn incentives and maximize the long-term value of their energy assets. Building on existing VPP program availability in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, and Texas, the expansion helps enable more homeowners with Tigo residential solar and energy storage systems to participate in utility-driven programs aimed at strengthening grid reliability while helping create new opportunities to earn incentives and maximize the long-term value of their energy assets. Beyond providing backup power and helping to increase energy independence, eligible Tigo storage systems can help homeowners participate in evolving grid services programs that reward flexible energy use while supporting a more resilient and responsive electric grid.

As utilities continue to expand programs that leverage distributed battery storage to balance electricity demand during peak periods, residential solar and energy storage systems are becoming increasingly valuable grid resources. Through intelligent energy management, Tigo VPP capabilities connect eligible systems with participating utility and aggregator programs, helping to enable homeowners to contribute stored energy to the grid when it is needed most while maintaining control over their energy usage and optimizing the return on their solar and storage investments.

“After more than a decade of experience in the solar industry, as well as installing and servicing inverter systems from most major manufacturers, we now choose Tigo equipment for the majority of our projects. We made that decision because Tigo's module-level optimized systems deliver an exceptional combination of value, performance, and long-term reliability for our customers,” said Oleg Lagoviyer, Owner of Green Revolution Solar. “Equally important, Tigo's technical support team has consistently proven to be knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. The addition of the Tigo battery backup system, which integrates seamlessly with its solar platform, further strengthens our offering and positions us well to meet the growing demand for residential energy storage in the years ahead.”

The expanded eligibility builds on the expanding portfolio of Tigo products eligible for incentive programs like VPP, reflecting the Company’s commitment to delivering flexible, interoperable energy solutions that adapt to evolving utility programs and regional market opportunities. By combining intelligent energy management software, residential solar and storage technologies, Tigo helps installers deploy future-ready energy systems that can deliver value through energy production, backup power, and participation in emerging grid services programs. Participation in VPPs is subject to utility availability, regional program requirements, and customer eligibility.

“Virtual Power Plant programs are expanding the ways in which homeowners can benefit from residential battery storage, and it’s great to see Advanced-tier Tigo Loyalty Program installers like Green Revolution Solar taking note of this valuable new capability,” said JD Dillon, chief marketing and customer experience officer at Tigo. “Expanding program eligibility gives more installers the opportunity to deliver differentiated energy solutions while helping homeowners unlock additional value from their battery systems. I'm looking forward to speaking with installers from the Mid-Atlantic region about this at the upcoming RE+ show in Philadelphia.”

Tigo will showcase its latest intelligent energy management solutions, including VPP capabilities, at RE+ Mid-Atlantic, taking place in Philadelphia, PA, from August 12 – 13, 2026. Attendees are invited to visit the Tigo booth to learn how Tigo technologies help installers deploy smarter residential energy systems while enabling homeowners to participate in utility programs that support a more resilient electric grid.
