Resource: EI Battery (US) communication cable

EI Battery (US) units now come with pre-made communication cables

Meant to simplify and expedite installations

Beginning April 30, 2025, all EI Battery (US) cabinets will include a pre-made communication cable. The cable is used to connect a battery cabinet to an EI Inverter or to connect 2 battery cabinets together. View the EI Battery (US) quick start guide (QSG) for specific instructions on how to install it.

What's included in the box:

A 16.4ft CAT5 communication cable

A letter with QR-code links to new and updated documentation for installing the cable and battery systems.

Why Tigo is providing this:

The pre-made cable is part of Tigo's commitment to Total Quality Solar and improving the installation experience. We heard feedback from installers that on-site fabrication of CAT5 cables was time intensive and prone to errors. The cable makes installation easier.

In addition, the communication cable box was a way to provide links to new and updated documentation to facilitate a fast and reliable installation. The two QR-codes link to the following resources:
