Software Update: May 2025 with Real-Time Active Commissioning

Tigo has released a new update to the EI Mobile App designed to make commissioning faster, clearer, and more confidence-inspiring for installers in the field.

With EI Mobile App version 5.4.5, installers now have access to an improved commissioning experience built around real-time active commissioning — a streamlined workflow that guides users through each required step, confirms completed actions, and helps identify issues as they happen.

The update is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Users should manually update the EI Mobile App to access the latest enhancements.

Cleaner commissioning navigation

The new commissioning flow makes it easier for installers to understand where they are in the process, what has already been completed, and what comes next.

Numbered steps and clear progress indicators help keep the installer on the right path from system setup through final verification.Real-time active commissioning

Installers no longer need to wait until the end of the process to confirm whether the system is working as expected.

As equipment comes online, the EI App begins pulling data and displaying system status in real time. This allows installers to verify performance earlier, detect issues sooner, and complete jobs with greater confidence.

Faster equipment discovery

The discovery process now begins automatically after modules are scanned into the system. Data acquisition speed has also been improved, helping reduce downtime during commissioning.

Streamlined equipment selection

A new equipment selection screen allows installers to identify what type of system they are commissioning, including:

• Tigo inverter + MLPE systems

• Tigo inverter systems without MLPE

• Third-party inverter systems with Tigo MLPE

This helps the EI App tailor the commissioning workflow to the system being installed.

Real-time power flow and issue resolution

A new system equipment configuration screen shows real-time power flow as equipment comes online. By detecting configuration or wiring issues earlier in the process, installers can resolve problems while they are still on site — before handoff to the customer.

Built for the way installers work

While the navigation and flow have been improved, the core configuration steps installers already know remain familiar. Firmware updates, module scanning, and layout processes continue to build on existing workflows.
