Flex MLPE TS4 Platform

The TS4 universal platform enables you to choose the exact options you need for any given project or customer, from safety features to module-level diagnostics and maximized energy harvest. The TS4-B, TS4-R, and TS4-R-X-Duo universal baseplates can be matched with one of several TS4 covers containing the application electronics. Together, they form a new generation of junction boxes known as flexible module-level power electronics (Flex MLPE). They are replaceable, upgradeable, and accompanied by a powerful PV 2.0 communication-centric architecture backend.

  • TS4-B (Integrated Jbox): Long Strings (TS4-L), Optimization (TS4-O), Safety (TS4-S), Monitoring (TS4-M), and Diode (TS4-D). Also includes TS4-F (Fire Safety).
  • TS4-R (Retrofit/Add-on Jbox): Optimization (TS4-R-O), Safety (TS4-R-S), and Monitoring (TS4-R-M). Also includes TS4-R-F (Fire Safety).
  • TS4-R-X-Duo (Retrofit/Add-on Jbox for 2 panels up to 700W): Optimization (TS4-R-O-Duo), Safety (TS4-R-S-Duo), and Monitoring (TS4-R-M-Duo).

UHD-Core Technology

Tigo’s new Ultra-High Definition (UHD) Core technology is now available within Tigo’s TS4 Monitoring (TS4-M), Safety (TS4-S), Optimization (TS4-O), and Long Strings (TS4-L) optimizers. With a new design architecture and component rating, these optimizers support up to 90V maximum input voltage and 12A maximum input current. The UHD-Core delivers superior performance resulting in higher energy harvest with optimization efficiency up to 99.6% for any module up to 475W. High definition sampling rate technology allows the highest accuracy remote monitoring of voltage and current available in the market. However, coupled with Tigo's Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA), these UHD-Core optimizers further employ this monitoring capability to also provide remote access to individual module information - such as panel type, barcode, manufacturing origin, location, and production date. Furthermore, these products now comply with NEC 2014 & 2017 Rapid Shutdown requirements with a recently awarded UL-certification.

The TS4-L is the complete smart module solution. It is ideal for systems requiring fully optimized performance at the module level, as well as monitoring, safety, and longer strings. Fewer BOS components allow for faster installation and reduced SKU management.

The TS4-O bundles the Tigo smart module features into one seamless unit for enhanced energy yield and increased design flexibility. TS4-O is ideal for roofs which are challenged by shading, but do not need longer strings. In addition to safety, monitoring, and PV 2.0 synchronization, TS4-O optimizes each module when shade drops their performance. With optimized modules, more roof space can be used to maximize energy production.

Fire Safety

The TS4-F is the most cost-effective rapid shutdown solution that pairs with an integrated modular junction box base (TS4-F) and retrofit/add-on base (TS4-R-F). TS4-F units communicate via PLC and are compatible with all SunSpec signaling devices for activation. Shutdown can be activated by any signaling device compliant with the SunSpec specification. Does not include Monitoring.

The TS4-D is the building block of the TS4 family and Tigo's smart solution. With diodes embedded in the cover of the junction box, this basic system enables OEMs to standardize on the TS4 baseplate for both conventional and smart modules.
