What does String Inverter mean?

A string inverter is an inverter that converts DC power from one or more connected strings of solar modules into AC power.

How is a string inverter different from module-level conversion?

A string inverter aggregates DC power before conversion, so module groups can balance each other before the inverter reaches its output limit. This can reduce certain clipping patterns in mixed-orientation arrays.

How it relates to Tigo

Tigo inverter products are used in string or hybrid inverter architectures with TS4 MLPE for module-level functions.
