What does Irradiance mean?

Irradiance is the amount of solar power reaching a surface, usually measured in watts per square meter.

How does irradiance affect solar production?

Higher irradiance generally means more available solar power, assuming temperature and equipment limits do not reduce output. Think of irradiance as how much sunlight is knocking on the module’s front door.

How it relates to Tigo

Irradiance affects module output, optimizer behavior, inverter loading, and the production curves shown in Tigo monitoring.
