What does High-Wattage Module mean?

A high-wattage module is a solar module with a higher nameplate power rating, commonly 400 watts and above in modern residential systems and higher in many commercial applications.

Why do high-wattage modules affect inverter selection?

Higher module wattage can increase production potential, but it also raises the importance of matching module output with inverter and MLPE ratings. If the electronics cap output below what the module can provide, clipping can show up like a very flat haircut on the production curve.
