What does DC Optimizer mean?

A DC optimizer is a module-level power electronics device that manages the DC output of a solar module before power is sent to a central inverter.

How is a DC optimizer different from a microinverter?

A DC optimizer can provide module-level benefits such as optimization, monitoring, and rapid shutdown while leaving DC-to-AC conversion to the inverter. That keeps the module energy on the DC side of the system longer.

How it relates to Tigo

Tigo TS4-A-O and TS4-X-O are DC optimizers used for module-level optimization, monitoring, and rapid shutdown in compatible PV systems.
