DC Architecture

DC architecture is a solar-plus-storage design that keeps solar energy on the DC side longer, typically using DC optimizers, a hybrid inverter, and DC-coupled batteries.

What does DC Architecture mean?

DC architecture is a solar-plus-storage design that keeps solar energy on the DC side longer, typically using DC optimizers, a hybrid inverter, and DC-coupled batteries.

What is DC architecture in solar-plus-storage?

Because solar modules and batteries both operate as DC devices, DC architecture can move energy from the array to storage with fewer conversion steps. A hybrid inverter then converts DC to AC when power is needed for the home, building, or grid.
