What does Cell Temperature mean?

Cell temperature is the operating temperature of the solar cells inside a PV module, which can be much hotter than the surrounding air.

Why does cell temperature affect solar output?

Solar modules usually produce less voltage as cell temperature rises. Cold, sunny conditions can increase voltage and power, which is why installers check temperature-adjusted electrical limits during design.

How it relates to Tigo

Tigo product selection and string design should account for module electrical behavior across expected temperatures.
