What does Air Mass mean?

Air mass describes the path length sunlight travels through Earth’s atmosphere before reaching a solar module.

Why is air mass part of Standard Test Conditions?

The standard AM 1.5 value approximates a common sunlight spectrum for testing solar modules. It gives the industry a shared yardstick, because comparing modules without a standard would be a solar-flavored mess.

How it relates to Tigo

Air mass is part of the STC framework used in module ratings that inform Tigo system design.
