California Demand Side Grid Support Program

Program summary
Support California's Grid Through an Approved DSGS Provider
The California Demand Side Grid Support program pays qualified resources for reducing load or exporting energy during extreme grid conditions.
How the Program Works
Battery customers generally participate through an approved provider, aggregator, utility, or community choice aggregator. The selected participation option determines event rules, metering, payment calculations, and customer compensation.
What to Know
- DSGS is a statewide program framework rather than one universal direct-to-homeowner offer.
- The provider and participation option determine the actual customer incentive.
- Service territory, metering, and resource requirements apply.
Review the current California Energy Commission guidelines and provider offer before enrolling.
