Job Description

Tigo is looking for a Drafter to work under the NPI team.

You will be part of the new product introduction team, helping totake products from the design phase to mass production. You will be responsibleto produce CAD drawings that meet the product specifications that will allow manufacturersand suppliers to produce products according to Tigo requirements.

This position is based at our HQ in Los Gatos, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating drawings such as product assembly drawings, product parts’ drawings, drawings for tools and fixtures.
  • Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet product specifications and make sure to release those drawings to production.
  • Writing related technical documents such as material specs, BOMs and assembly instructions.
  • Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards.
  • Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates.
  • Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus.

Good to have:

  • BSc in Engineering, Architecture, or degree from a technical college
  • Experience in mechanical design and electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge in electronic components and PCBA manufacturing processes
  • Understanding in test equipment and fixture design
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations.
  • Experience working with PDM or PLM system
