Optimization, monitoring, rapid shutdown for the latest high-power modules

Solar modules continue to grow in size, power, and current - many exceeding 600 and even 700W. Solar installers, EPC's and designers are turning to larger modules for a few reasons:

  • Fewer modules are needed for the same power capacity
  • Fewer modules = labor savings and fewer connections
  • They maximize output in a given space
  • Ultimately, they enable better returns on investment through lower levelized cost of electricity

Large commercial solar installations use Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) to meet rapid shutdown code requirements, and combat against shade in mismatch. And the MLPE must be rated for the modules, including things like backside gain for bifacials.

In this webinar, experienced members of the Tigo team will talk through:

  1. High wattage module trends
  2. What they mean for system owners and installers
  3. Large installation design considerations
  4. How to ensure compatibility with MLPE
  5. Benefits of MLPE with large commercial sites

This webinar will include details that are a mix of technical and economic. We look forward to seeing you there.
