Job Description

We are seeking a UX, UI and Design lead with at least 5 years of experience to build out and run our design group. The right candidate will have a demonstrated passion for graphing and visualization in the context of large, complicated data sets. The candidate will be comfortable working in a start-up environment, have a great sense of user experience and business needs, and be able to collaborate with our engineers, customers, and business partners. The candidate will also be able to learn and understand the dynamics of the personas we serve and come up with new ways to create value using user experience and design.


  • Ensure that our web application and the graphs and reports generated with it are aesthetically pleasing and clearly communicate complex concepts and analytics in easy to understand ways
  • Use visual communication to ensure that our users are able to intuitively understand the complex features of our product
  • Provide design recommendations and create processes to oversee that they are properly implemented
  • Organize our web application’s CSS code for maintainability
  • Work with Product Management to define a UI/UX roadmap for all features and releases
  • Manage UI/UX designs through the entire iterative product lifecycle including: ideation, design, implementation, and feedback
  • Establish workflows and UI/UX wire frame/mock up designs based on best practices and frameworks to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Work with the software engineer team to effectively plan and support the implementation of the design vision
  • Conduct user research in support of the roadmap vision to validate and refine with user-driven metrics
  • Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, clickable prototypes, and design systems
  • Present designs to end users and stakeholders, collect feedback, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Test to ensure product aligns with the designs before live release


  • You’ve worked as a designer on technically complex systems and are able to understand the tradeoffs between desired design goals and technical implementation
  • You are familiar with modern UX and design tools
  • You are able to write and organize HTML/CSS
  • You have some level of ability to write and understand JavaScript code
  • You are a great visual communicator and excel at explaining difficult concepts visually
  • You have a great sense of colors and themes appropriate for business/data/high volume reporting
