GEORGETOWN, DE, FEBRUARY 2ND, 2010: Solair, LLC has completed the installation and activation of a solar system on a residence in Georgetown, Delaware. This 22 kilowatt system utilizes state of the art Tigo Energy Maximizers. The Tigo Maximizer System delivers more energy, and better monitoring of power generation over traditional solar panel systems. This activated residential solar panel array has already produced more than a MEGAWATT of power in less than 2 weeks in January.

The Tigo system is able to produce more power by separating each solar panel electrically. By separating the panels, each individual panel can send the most wattage to the inverter. In a traditional solar array, many panels are tied together in an electrical string. Every panel in the string can only output as much as the weakest one. Something as simple as a cloud passing over a single panel can shade it and cut the output of the entire string. When this happens it can affect 12 or 13 panels. Tigo Energy’s Mazimizer System eliminates this issue.
With conventional monitoring systems today’s solar owners may know how much energy has been produced, but actually have no visibility into what is happening on the roof. Are all the modules working?
